I think a lot of times we forget to say things to people who deserve to hear it the most. When it comes to my parents, someetimes I fail to realize how much they really do for me. I look past everything that they provide me with, buy for me and just support me with. My parents are the only two people (along with other family of course) who have always been by my side regardless of my mistakes, circumstances or situations, and for that I am truly greatful. I honestly don't know what I would do or where I would be without my parents. At times I try to act so independent, but I'll always need my parents there for me. They support me when I need it most and lift me up when i'm at my lowest. Today, my mother got into a car accident and when she called me and told me about it, my heart dropped. The first thing that came into my mind was whether she was okay and how fast I could get to her. As I was in the car, on my way to go home, I was silent, thinking about how she was and if she was hurt. It honestly opened my eyes to the reality that at any given time you could lose the people that are most important to you. Thank God that she was driving a truck, because if she had been driving a small car she would have been seriously injured. It might be corny and it might make me sound like a baby, but I honestly couldn't care less. I'm so thankful and greatful that God blessed me with a mom who I can call my best friend and a dad that will always be there to protect me and be there for me even though I may not see him or spend as much time with him as I might want to. So, today, take a moment and think of everything that your parents have provided you with, done for you and just supported you through and truly thank them for it. Tell them you love them and
never, I mean never take them for granted.
