"The Things I Do For You..."
As much as we try to deny it, there are always people in our lives who we act differently around. Whether it be family, friends, boyfriends, etc, there are people who you do specific things for/around. Example: When i'm around my family I can speak spanglish whereas when i'm around my friends from school I can't because many of them won't understand me. Randomly, though, I was thinking about how some people go out of their way to do things for people. Like, if you're trying to help someone, that's a different story. I'm all for going out of my way to help people and make them happy, but i'm talking about doing things to make people LIKE you. There are some people who are just starving for attention and it causes them to do weird and crazy things just so they'll be noticed or liked. I know some girls who will literally submit to each and every word their boyfriend says in order to make them happy. If the boyfriend says jump, they say "babe how high?" or if the boyfriend says "cut your hair" they turn into Brittney Spears and shave their head. Like, really? What's the point of changing who you are and submitting to someone completely and fully when God made you the way you are for a reason? There are some people (mostly girls) who act differently around each group of friends that they have. We all know one; one of those girls who acts ghetto around her black friends, acts serious around other friends and then acts normal around others. I bet someone popped into your mind right now that acts this exact way. I don't know why this randomly came to my mind, but why do we do so much to please people in that sense? Does it really matter what they think? But really though, lets take a minute to think about this... We do so much to be noticed when we could spend that time doing things that actually help people. Or we could be spending our time just with people and not always trying to fit in or be like everyone else. This could be so many different blog posts but I guess I just wanted to say a little bit..If you don't agree that's fine. I'm just sayin'
