don't look at me for what you see, see me for my heart. see me for the depths of who I am.

A day in the life of a Target employee...
Working in retail has its good days, but some days are just BAD. Have you ever gone to a store and seen people who look completely miserable? Yeah.. imagine working there and having to deal with them paying for their things. UGH. Example: At Target, we're supposed to greet our customers with "Hi, how are you today?" (insert smile here) and you expect them to respond or at least or pretend to smile. Some people, though, ohh jeez they legitimately just ignore you or answer like "i'm ok......." like, what the heck? How am I supposed to respond to that? Are you expecting me to ask you what's wrong and give you a hug? Really? Then you have those customers who are in such a rush that they try to take their bags before you're even done putting things in them. Anyone who works at Target or any retail store of the sort understand what I mean. It's so annoying, like um.. hi I work here, you don't. GET OFF MY BAGS. OR there are those guests who have a million things in their cart and then decide that they only want to buy 3 of the items. Seriously? Why'd you put all of this in your cart if you're not going to buy it? Come on, now. It's the worst when you have those customers who decide they don't want it after you've rung it up. Then you have to like void it and it's annoying, but seriously. Another example: when I have to work at guest services, it's the worsttttttt. Not only do you have to deal with angry people but when it comes to getting money back, you KNOW people are serious. Sometimes they get so mad they like..threaten you. One time, a woman told me she was going assault me because I couldn't return some hair product she bought months before. Come on now, lady. Really? You opened this, used it, and tried to return it... that's not happening, GET OFF ME. People literally get pissed over like a matter of cents though. "THE SIGN SAID THIS WAS 3.49 AND IT RUNG UP 3.60!" Honestly... it's not that big of a deal....can you not? Or you get those super weird people who come into the store and are just... weird. There's one guy who comes in sometimes who's legit like 7 ft tall and wears skirts. Not only that, but his hair is pink and green.....I mean, if that's what floats your boat, that's fine with me. Whatever, but sometimes when he walks in I don't know how to react. Do I look or do I just pretend like this giant didn't walk in? Awk... One time there was a guy who came in with like a Hawaiian type shirt on and no shoes. It was probably one of the weirdest things ever. Well... there was that one time a guy came in and was like prring at people.. like a cat. Yeah, that's a day in the life of a Target employee.
