"Poets often describe love as an emotion that we can't control, one that overwhelms logic and common sense. That's what it was like for me. I didn't plan on falling in love with you, and I doubt if you planned on fallin gin love with me. But once we met, it was clear that neither of us could control what was happening to us. We fell in love, despite our differences, and once we did, something rare and beautiful was created. For me, love like that has happened only once, and that's why every minute we spent together has been seared in my memory. I'll never forget a single moment of it." - Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook ♥ |

I've heard more than once that movies such as The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, The Last Song, etc, are movies that make teenage girls or women in general have high expectations of men. Honesty...it's true. After watching all of Nicholas Sparks' movies and reading his books, I sometimes expect my prince charming to be as perfect as the ones shown in his works of fiction, but I forget that main point; it's FICTION. After numerous conversations with a friend of mine (hi Ali!), I got to thinking... Is it possible to get an Ali and Noah ending? To be honest, obviously no one's love life will be like the ones in the movies. Most fairytale relationships are way too perfect, but that doesn't mean that two people can't be in love and do cute things for eachother. Am I right? No matter how long two people have been together or how old they are, its never, and i mean NEVER too late to do something cute or romantic for the person you truly love. Sometimes its the little things that mean the most. A simple "I love you" or "You're beautiful" could make a girl's day completely perfect. For others, maybe a cute date or flowers or a card or anything cute and out of the ordinary would work. A lot of times, I feel like the males in relationships forget/give up on trying to be cute because they feel like they don't need to do anything to win over the girl's heart anymore because they already have her. FALSE. Any girl will appreciate random and unexpected cute moments. Whether you've been together for 15 years, 3 years or 3 months, romance should never fade. I feel like it goes both ways too, though. Both people in the relationship should sometimes go out of their way to show the other that the love still there. So many relationships today depend on physical intimacy and forget about the true relationship; communication, spending time together, getting to know eachother more and more, all of those can never go away. But romance, It should be up there with honesty and trust in a relationship; you have to show your girl you still have swag! ok, maybe that was corny, but whatever. Boys need to step up their game with the cuteness, because many of them are slackin' hardcore. Fellas, don't let your girl lose those butterflies in her tummy when she sees you, and if she has already, its not too late to fix it. Sometimes girls can try harder too, i'm not gonna lie... but most of the time its the guy's fault tehe Anyways, when you find someone who's worth your time and truly loves you and visa versa, do whatever it takes to show them and never, ever take them for granted.
